Your First Visit

Your initial visit is an important opportunity for us to get to know you and what you want to accomplish. Excellent care and individualized attention is the hallmark of our practice. We schedule enough time in our first visit for you to get a feel of our office to experience our relaxed atmosphere.

Our philosophy is to treat you, as you would want to be treated. We take the time necessary to explain everything we do and everything we recommend each step of the way. The more you know about your care, the more we become partners in your overall oral health.

The comprehensive new patient exam consists of screening to check for any gum or periodontal disease, evaluation for Oral Cancer, an examination to detect tooth decay, an evaluation of how your mouth opens and closes and the health of your jaw joint, and an evaluation of how your teeth come together to ensure a proper bite.

We will take the necessary x-rays that will enable us to see tooth decay between the teeth, evaluation the bone level underneath the gum line and screen for cancer. In some cases, we take dental impressions to make models of the teeth for more in-depth study of how your teeth fit together.

A formal treatment plan is then created addressing your particular needs and goals. The treatment plan is our roadmap to oral health, and we work as a team to get there together.
